Every day, we pray for the Transformation of Metropolitan Richmond —
For the more than 1.2 million people living in this historic capital city of Central Virginia, including the jurisdictions of Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, and the surrounding counties and towns.
Since March 2006, more than 475 churches in Metropolitan Richmond have joined in a covenant to pray together weekly for the people of our metropolitan city. Please join us in this common prayer, which began its eleventh year on March 1, 2016. We believe that God desires the healing of this metropolitan city. We also believe that God desires for us to pray together and to pray specifically for his kingdom to come here as it is in heaven.
This Covenant of Prayer was originally developed by a committee of clergy from many of the denominations of metropolitan Richmond. All Christian churches are invited to participate. We pray for the more than 1.2 million people who live in this historic capital city of Virginia, in all of its jurisdictions – Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, City of Richmond, the towns of Ashland, Hopewell, Petersburg, as well as the counties of Goochland and New Kent.
Please call us if you have any questions, and please email us, fill in a form on the website, or send us your covenant to let us know you’ve joined in.
